Chart notes
PINE KNOLL stalked the lead pair, took closer order willingly on the turn briefly waiting in behind, moved inside a rival past the five-sixteenths then outside the leader and between runners to bid at the quarter pole, was headed at the top of the stretch, dueled inside a rival and dug in edge away the final sixteenth. LAST AMERICAN EXIT was reserved in hand off the pace near the inside, edged closer while starting to shift out about three furlongs from home, went three to four wide advancing outside foes at that juncture, took a narrow lead at the top of the stretch outside a rival, dueled with that one but was denied. BREAK THE SPELL broke a bit awkwardly, lacked early speed, swung six wide, ran on for show. CLASSIC DANCER was coaxed to the lead, set the pace inside, gave way. KINETIC STONE was urged at the start, pressed or chased from outside, dropped back and faded. ENCHANT ME chased from off the inside, was not a factor.
