Chart notes
AWESOME CRUSADER stalked in behind two to three wide early, floated five wide turning for home commencing a bid, bumped the inside foe lightly but repeatedly through the stretch with a narrow advantage near the eighth pole, prevailed. EL COHETE was prominent early pressing inside but ceded the lead and was taken back off the pace, could not switch outside the leader and instead tracked while bottled up heading into the turn, saved ground still awaiting room, angled four wide coming into upper stretch, contended between runners then dueled inside the eventual winner getting lightly bumped by that one several times, was denied but secured the place. KEKOA broke just a half-step slowly, settled at the back inside on or just off the rail, rallied inside foes mildly in the stretch to get show honors. GILT EDGE was in tight quarters and shuffled back a bit leaving the backstretch, switched outside runners and appeared a bit rank or getting out early on the turn, swung eight to nine wide into upper stretch, improved while widest. COOLER MAN was reluctant to load, broke a bit slowly, settled into stride then advanced outside rivals in an early move, bid nearing the quarter pole, vied in the stretch, was bumped lightly in mid-stretch, weakened. LITTLE RED DOMI was quick to the lead, set the pace just off the rail, was challenged late on the turn, weakened from between runners in mid- to late-stretch steadying slightly near the sixteenth pole while fading. SECRET THREAT was in a bit tight between and behind runners at the rear, failed to rally. DARK SCREEN was in a bit tight inside early, switched out before the turn, swung six wide into upper stretch, failed to rally. FOLLWOING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AS WELL AS OBJECTIONS BY THE RIDER AND TRAINER OF EL COHETE AGAINST AWESOME CRUSADER ALLEGING INTERFERENCE, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
