DIAMOND RIM was well rated sitting off the pressured top flight in early stages, picked up the pace leaving the backstretch, edged closer late on the turn, spun out five wide entering the head of the lane, was shaken up for the drive, moved up into striking distance, dug in under firm handling and edged ahead late. W W HOTSHOT broke on top the sat in aim three wide just off the top pair, let out a notch and advanced to duel with OUR LAST CHANCE around the turn, raced just off the lead in the upper stretch, dug in gamely, got a head back in front, battled on and got outkicked late. SAMURAI PRINCE pressed the early pace, vied between foes leaving the backstretch, flattened off of the top pair mid-way around the turn, kept on two wide into the upper stretch, moved back up into striking distance a furlong out, kept on and cleared a share. OUR LAST CHANCE set a pressured pace along the inside, dueled around the turn, held a slim lead in the upper stretch, got headed near the eighth pole, stayed on with response then yielded late. WILDWOOD SICILIAN raced in the back, saved ground and had no response.
