Chart notes
MACKENZIE'S NOVVA broke a step tardy to be at the back giving the field a couple lengths, circled up on the first turn to prompt the pace from three wide down the backstretch, continued just off the pacesetter to the top of the lane, mounted a stretch rally while drifting out through the lane and prevailed holding the runner-iup safe at the line. CLASSIC KING tracked the leaders for the first three-quarters from striking position, mounted a bid from between rivals through the lane taking advantage of the drifting winner and closed well to come up just short. THALBERG set the pace on a well rated, comfortable lead to the head of the stretch, responded well digging-in when engaged in upper stretch and weakened late in the drive when out-finished by the top pair. COX CANYON unhurried to trail for a half and passed tiring rivals coming home while unable to threaten the top three. ROUND OF APPLAUSE raced wide on the first turn while near the rear of the field, moved into contention on the far turn and flattened out unable to sustain the rally. OCEAN OF STORMS raced in early contention, dropped to the rear of the field on the final bend and was outrun coming home.
