Chart notes
SPAN settled four wide, ranged into striking distance through the turn, took dead aim on the leader entering the stretch, poked his head in front a furlong out and kicked away. FIVEO'CLOCKCHARLIE dueled outside, fought on through a long drive but was unable to resist the winner. MIDNITE ALEX broke a step slow, was unhurried into stride, made a steady advance circling five wide and was up in time to earn the minor award. TAKEITAWAY dueled along the inside, weakened entering the stretch, shifted out and churned on to no avail through the lane. GRAYHOP was close up three wide to the stretch and flattened out. RED MOSCATO was allowed to settle, came four wide and finished with a belated improvement. DREAM GOLD attended the pace along the inside to the turn and retreated. HE'S A FINE MAN was unhurried, came five wide, steadied off heels when RED MOSCATO came out nearing the furlong marker and was never a factor.
