Chart notes
MALLORY'S OCEAN settled behind the dueling leaders to the turn, responded when asked to go on from the three furlong pole, came four wide into the stretch and finished best under strong handling and urging, just holding off a challenge to the inside. DREAMCHASER JEWELS raced between horses near the rear of the main pack, came under a stiff drive from the quarter pole and was kept to task in the stretch, produced a steady, grinding finish and almost got the job done. BOBBY'S GIRL got away well and showed good early speed to engage STORM SURGE early, got the better of that rival late on the turn then carried the lead in to upper stretch but tired late and was unable to hold off the top pair while just holding third. MISS DAAHEN slow early to be well off the leaders at the rear of the field, commenced a steady, long drive on the turn and finished with a late gain along the outside and almost got the show dough. VANNA G raced close up in the early stages on the outside of the main pack, struggled to keep pace on the turn when the leading pair got away from the pack, came under pressure in the stretch but was unable to threaten. STORM SURGE had good speed and was up with the leaders joining the main course, dueled with BOBBY'S GIRL down the backstretch and though the turn then went one-paced in the stretch and was not a factor in the late stages. EASTON'S MOON was pushed from the break to get forward position the settled at the back of the main pack halfway down the backstretch, moved to the rail before the turn, mildly advanced into contention late on the turn then lacked a finish and went one-paced in the stretch. ANCHO got shuffled back at the start then was coaxed forward to join the main back before the turn, tracked four wide, made a very brief bid midway on the turn then faltered in the stretch.
