Chart notes
STAR ANISE sprinted clear with the rider doing little to temper the pace, was being confidently ridden into the far turn, turned back a challenge from PLAYMATE late on the turn and finished with something left under strong handling and urging to prevail. PLAYMATE was unhurried on the first turn then advanced down the backstretch, made a run at STAR ANISE approaching the quarter pole, drew even in upper stretch but could not get by. TALKSALOT raced at the back of the pack, started to run on some from the seven-sixteenths marker, chased the top pair into the stretch but was unable to make an impact while finishing miles clear of the next horse. CHARLUCHE raced two wide at the rear of the field, lacked a rally. CIGARS N CARS tracked well behind STAR ANISE through the early stages then started to lose ground heading into the turn and finished far back.
