LITTLE BIT O STORM got away well and seized the inside position while contesting the early pace, was being asked a little leaving the quarter pole with CHIEF EXPRESS as they opened up on the rest through the turn with only ROSE HILL ROCKET still with a chance, went two clear in upper stretch and held sway under steady handling to win clear. CHIEF EXPRESS had good speed and pulled the rider to the front, vied between horses then dueled with the eventual winner through the turn, was not match in the stretch but kept trying to the finish in a good effort. ROSE HILL ROCKET lunged at the start then broke inwards and made some light contact with THIS GRAY MISCHIEV, chased the dueling leaders to the turn, the bid in earnest approaching the quarter pole and flattened out late. THIS GRAY MISCHIEV tracked inside not far off the pace through the early stages, lost some ground to the leaders on the turn but shifted out to the three path midway on the turn and rallied, had some trouble with the lead change in the stretch and faltered. STORMY STRIKE veered out sharply al the start, tracked in mid-pack four wide, was under a drive passing the quarter pole but slowed to a walk in the stretch. HONEST DEAL raced in the middle of the second flight then came up empty in the stretch. SPLOTCH was off slow and under urging early to get back into the race, check sharply out of traffic just past the nine-sixteenths marker, lost a lot of momentum and struggled to get back into contention. ANDTHISTOOWILLPASS hustled from the break and was four wide in the early pace mix, weakened passing the three furlong pole then had nothing left for the stretch run. STARSHIP REALITY lost the path when ANDTHISTOOWILLPASS came over after the break, then was slow to get going and trailed throughout.
