Chart notes
LITTLE TEDDY was confidently handled, sitting near the back finding her stride down the backstretch, was asked for run three furlongs out, quickly responded moving into contention on the turn between horses, pounced three wide in upper stretch and drew off with authority in the late stages for the win. CARA CARA took this field down the backstretch running on the rail, continued up top but by a diminishing margin by the quarter pole, was headed outside by the winner at the top of the lane, fought the good fight until inside the eighth pole but was no match for the winner in deep stretch. ORDEROFTHEPHOENIX (IRE) was unhurried in last down the back straight, edged up mildly still seeing the field while saving ground on the bend, rallied past tiring rivals inside straightening out for home and ran on to the end but could not threaten the front two at the finish. CHROMEPLATED HEART was brushed outside on the break, hounded the pace outside in the early going, still applied pressure inching even closer on the turn, was scrubbed for more three wide between foes at the quarter pole but could not go with the winner that was inside and tired in the stretch but did outlast one rival to hold for a minor share in the end. GARNET AND GOLD broke out on the start, was restrained between runners down the backside to sit alone watching the lead duo battle on at the half, closed in when urged right-handed to be three wide in midturn, battled briefly until the quarter marker, angled out widest in the six path for the drive but had nothing to offer and weakened through the stretch.
