CAIRO CHARM took a bump from COUNTRY ANGEL at the start, steadied then rushed up to join the main pack, kept to the two path through the turn racing in the middle of the pack, got a nice inside run into the stretch, tipped out to the two path mid-stretch then wore down DIAMOND COUNTRY under steady handling and urging to win clear in the end. DIAMOND COUNTRY brushed with TOO SPICY at the start then rebounded into FIVE LEAF CLOVER, still got to the front and dueled with TOO SPICY through the turn, put that rival away in upper stretch held the lead into deep stretch but could not hold off the winner in the final yards. COAL DANCER raced mid-pack three wide through the early stages, then swung five wide into he stretch and finished with some late interest to get the third prize. TALKABOUT tracked five to six wide down the backstretch, advanced through the turn still on the outside then produced a good rally in the stretch and just missed hitting the board. TOO SPICY broke well, dueled outside a rival into and through the turn, then lacked a finish in the later stages. A WICKED NUMBER tracked four wide throughout and could not produce a winning kick in the stretch. COUNTRY ANGEL broke through the gate before the start, was vetting and reloaded, then broke outward at the start and bumped CAIRO CHARM, was briefly close up racing inside, retreated to near the back of the pack before the turn, then came back on late to improve. MISS CHEESE BREAD broke a step slow then steadied when CAIRO CHARM came over and took the path, then trailed the field down the backstretch, took a four wide path into the stretch but as never a threat. TRANQUILLA broke outward into RED REVENGER after the break, pressed two wide into the turn, was under a drive leaving the five-sixteenths marker and finished evenly. SHE'S A BANDIT got shut off at the start then trailed early, kept to the inside and finished evenly. FIVE LEAF CLOVER took bumps on both sides in separate incidents at the start but was up in the early pace mix down the backstretch, continued to press close up through the turn then weakened in the stretch. RED REVENGER got pinballed into FIVE LEAF CLOVER after the break, was stacked up three wide in the stalking group, started to fade at the three furlong marker and was not involved late.
