Chart notes
SABI settled inside under some restraint, advanced to be close up late on the backstretch run, tipped out three wide into the stretch after passing the quarter pole finished well and wore down SOUTH SIDE in the shadow of the wire to prevail. SOUTH SIDE was forwardly placed without being asked, was always close up through the early stages then ramped up the pressure through the turn, pulled even then went to the lead passing the quarter pole, was finishing well but could not hold off the winner in the final yards. RED ROAD hopped then hustled to the front and was clear of the rest into the first turn, jumped a couple of shadows early on the backstretch run then was joined by a pair of rivals passing the five furlong marker, held sway to the quarter pole then was overtaken by the top two but able to save third well ahead of the next finisher. CITY PARK got caught four wide through the first turn, raced at the back to the half, then responded when asked to go on, advanced steadily through the turn then went one-paced in the stretch. DUSTIN THE DIAMOND pressed the pace three wide down the backstretch, lost some ground on the far turn then faltered in the stretch. WIN OVER WYATT got pinched a bit at the start then was going to get caught three wide into the first turn then dropped back to last and over to the rail, bided time at the rear to the half mile pole, then started to run on some through the turn but had nothing left in the stretch. IBERIAN RUNNER came away awkwardly from the gate, chased mid-pack through the early stages then was unable to keep up late.
