Chart notes
ONE WAY OR ANOTHER tracked the top pair in opening stages, vied three wide approaching the quarter pole, shook free in hand late on the turn, came three wide into the upper stretch, remained confidently handled, turned back the bid from TRAVELIN WITCH in the final furlong, tapped a couple times and held firm. TRAVELIN WITCH raced in range tracking the top pair, moved up to race in aim four wide at the quarter pole, sat poised to strike a furlong out, hustled along under firm handling but could not reach the firm holding winner. CHARLIE MIKE sat just off the early pace, ranged up to factor five wide near the quarter pole, swung wide into the upper stretch, shifted in a couple paths, sustained bid and secured a share. TOFFEE lacked early speed, saved ground and improved position without threatening. CHICA ARMA pressed the early pace, vied around the turn then steadily weakened in the lane. HEAVENLY DANCER set a pressured pace, dueled around the turn and tired in the drive.
