Chart notes
SELINUS was allowed to settle and track the early pace, crept closer late on the turn, given cue three to four wide in the upper stretch, gathered momentum under firm handling, swept by near the sixteenth pole and finished going away. MISS BOWRING was forwardly placed sitting just off the early leader, vied outside of NOW WE GO going by the quarter pole, could not match strides with rival into upper stretch but remained in aim for the lead, sustained bid but was no match when the outside winner swept by late. NOW WE GO set a pressured early pace, vied inside of MISS BOWRING going by the quarter pole, saved ground, fought back to hold a slim lead a furlong out, got collared by the winner approaching the final sixteenth and weakened to show. LOTTERY TICKET tracked the top pair in opening stages, remained in close contention and saved ground around the turn, tipped two wide and put to a drive in upper stretch, had no response and gave way. QUEEN WILHELMINA raced in the back, came two to three wide into the upper stretch and failed to respond.
