PETER FLIES away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, dictated the pace in the run down the backstretch, held a narrow advantage from along the rail entering the final turn, and was all out to fend off BROKE AN BROKEN late to prevail. BROKE AN BROKEN unhurried early while dropping well behind the field entering the backstretch, launched his bid two wide entering the final turn, and closed determinedly three wide in deep stretch to just miss. LOVE THE NEST away well and settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, mounted his bid from along the inside entering the final turn, shifted three wide leaving the turn, before altering course towards the inside and closed determinedly while lacking room late. CASCADE BILLY was leaning against the outside of the gate prior to the start, and got away awkwardly, raced up to track the leader three wide entering the first turn, continued with a three wide trip in the run down the backside and through the final turn, and was outfinished in deep stretch while finishing one out from the rail. BECKETT'S BEST broke sharply and tracked the leader into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, rallied two wide entering the final turn, steadied repeatedly from between rivals leaving the final turn and into the stretch, and was outfinished late. Following the running of this race there was a jockey's claim of foul. the rider of BECKETT'S BEST lodged a claim of foul against the rider of CASCADE BILLY for alleged interference leaving the final turn. after review the claim of foul was disallowed, and no change was made to the original order of finish.
