Chart notes
CAPTAIN COURTNEY rank on the first turn while inside the leader, settled onto the backside to prompt the pace to the far turn, rallied to challenge at the quarter pole, quickly took a clear lead in upper stretch and held the hard charging closers safe. KISS BLUE tracked the pace from the inside to be well placed, rallied leaving the quarter pole angling out four wide at the top of the lane and closed well to be gaining inside the eighth pole. SETTLING STORM reserved off the leaders along the inside to the final turn, rallied up the inside turning for home, angled out six wide behind wall in upper stretch and surged with a belated gain in the final sixteenth. SKY VICTORY stalked the pace from four wide down the backside, commenced a steady bid midway on the far turn and kept grinding coming home to be gaining late. COCKTAIL KISSES set the pace under mild pressure for a half, responded when engaged on the far bend and weakened in upper stretch. LA GIRVINA chased the leaders from mid-pack to be in contention and lacked a closing bid. DIXIELAND BELLE trailed for a hlaf, showed some interest with a brief bid on the turn and flattened out. SPARKLING RUBY was not a threat. NEAT TRICK was well placed four wide in contention down the backstretch and came up empty into the turn.
