Chart notes
DREAMAWAY showed the way in the two path as an outer rival applied pressure around the turn, shook free in upper stretch and held sway from bidders on either side in the late stages. DREAMINBLUE broke a step slow, trailed in the two path, rallied while shifting ground outwardly into the final sixteenth, sustained a late kick and gained place while running out of ground to reel in the leader. STAR'S IMAGE stalked along the inside, took aim up the rail in the final furlong, sustained gradual progress to bid inside of the leader passing the sixteenth pole, but was fended off and got nailed by an outer rival for place. GOVERNOR SAM pressed the eventual winner from the three path, failed to sustain pressure in upper stretch, yet sustained pursuit while getting outkicked on either side in the final furlong. COMING IN HOT tracked from the three to four path around the turn, chased while drifting to the five path into the lane, then lacked a bid. BRIDLE A BUTTERFLY broke a step slow, raced off of the pace in the three path, then the five to four path into the lane and failed to factor.
