Chart notes
KAKE'S ARROW sped to the early lead, stayed along the inner rail setting a pressured pace, opened up in mid stretch and prevailed under vigorous rousing. L'ANTHARIS (FR) stalked the pace, saved ground the far turn, eased outside in upper stretch and rallied. UNDERSTUDY KITTY stalked the pace, was well positioned in the three path in upper stretch and flattened out. ST. JOHN'S , reserved along the inner rail down the backstretch, saved ground the far turn, angled out for the drive and came up empty. VILLAIN bumped with HAY CHIEF at the start, was unhurried along the inner rail down the backstretch, saved ground the far turn, remained along the rail in the stretch and passed tired rivals. GOODBYE NOTE lapped outside the winner prompted that one to upper stretch and tired in the drive. GO TO THE KINGDOM , outrun, raced between horses the far turn. CROSSLAND , four wide the first turn, was no factor. HAY CHIEF bumped with VILLAIN at the start, was outrun and stayed wide the far turn.
