Chart notes
PAYNTER'S PRODIGY vied for the early lead between runners then took command into the first turn, set a moderate pace while prompted to the half-mile, battled inside of a pair of rivals into the far turn, lost command at the quarter marker then chased into the stretch, angled three wide inside of the furlong marker, re-rallied in deep stretch and got up in time for a determined win. MALIBU WARRIOR stalked the early pace three deep, went up and prompted PAYNTER'S PRODIGY through moderate fractions heading to the half-mile marker, dueled into the far turn then battled BOOSTER SHOT into the stretch, took a narrow lead into the final sixteenth, was tagged for the win in the final strides and held for second. BOOSTER SHOT broke alertly then ceded the early lead heading to the first turn, tracked the moderate pace to the half-mile marker, bid three wide into the far turn then took command into upper stretch, led past the furlong marker, could not hold off rivals into the final sixteenth and was outfinished for the win and place, while well clear of the rest for the show. THIRD WATCH bobbled at the start and was away a bit slowly, settled while saving ground then inched closer to the leaders along the backstretch, chased two to three wide into the far turn and came within range at the quarter marker, could not sustain that run into the stretch and weakened in the final furlong. LONG TOM unhurried in the early stages, raced two wide to the far turn then did not make an impact in the stretch. RIVERBOAT BANDIT raced close up to the early pace while four wide, tracked the moderate pace three wide to the half-mile pole, was outrun along the second turn then gave way through the stretch. EYES ELEVEN settled two wide into the first turn, was unhurried through the backstretch, saved ground into the far turn then trailed the rest of the way.
