Chart notes
A THOUSAND MILES pressed the pace leaving the first turn and into the backstretch, took a slim lead at the half mile marker, widened advantage under a ride late on the far turn, saved ground entering the upper stretch, pulled away along the inside, tapped once in the final furlong and kept to task under a brisk hand ride. CALIENTE STAR raced in range around the first turn and stalked the pace up the backstretch, came under a ride mid-way around the final turn, sustained bid into the stretch run and held second best. KERRY'S KISS was allowed to settle out of the gate and raced three wide into the first turn, edged closer and tracked the pace along the outside up the backstretch, continued in good position around the far turn, given cue three wide at the head of the lane, was no match for pulling away winner but ran on and just lasted for show. TWO BAR raced in close contention along the rail heading into the first turn, was a bit keen and steadied sharply entering the backstretch, was not far back through early stages then weakened entering the far turn, shifted out five wide for rebid at the head of the lane, showed interest late and narrowly missed runner up spots. SQUEEZE THE DAY led the way around the first turn, set a pressured pace in the early backstretch, got collared for the lead near the half mile marker, flattened around the turn and continued to tire in the drive.
