Chart notes
ELLAGIO vied for the early lead then assumed command and set the pace to the turn, set a decent pace to the quarter marker, drifted out into upper stretch then kept to task into the final furlong, dug in when challenged in deep stretch and held off the oncoming runner-up to prevail. JAYANA was forwardly placed early on while outside of runners, tracked three to four wide nearing the top of the lane, responded past mid-stretch, made a late surge and missed for the win, while besting the rest. FIVE EYES ONMICHEL chased the early pace two wide then from the rail, fought on into the stretch, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and was clear in the end for third. ALANIS off a step slow, tracked two to three wide and between runners into the turn, raced a bit in tight at the quarter marker, found room into the stretch then weakened in the final furlong. SKY BABY chased two to three wide then gave way. PIZZICATO broke awkwardly, chased from the inside and did not threaten in the stretch. FUTURE FORTUNE lacked early speed and trailed throughout.
