Chart notes
BLUEGRASS LENT away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, continued to set a pressured pace from the inside of EVANDERKEEN in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, held the narrowest of leads into the stretch, and inched clear late under steady urging. SNAP TO IT stalked the dueling leaders into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, began to advance three wide midway down the backstretch to loom a danger three wide entering the final turn, and closed determinedly four wide in the drive to get up for the place. EVANDERKEEN dueled for the lead from the outside of BLUEGRASS LENT entering the first turn, continued to force the issue from the outside of that rival in the run down the backside and through the final turn, and closed willingly two wide in the drive and just failed to hold the place. DEAL EM unhurried early while dropping back to trail entering the backstretch, mounted a four wide bid from the back of the pack entering the final turn, and finished with late interest three out from the rail in the drive. NEWHART away well and stalked the contested early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backside, continued to save ground through the final turn, but had little to offer late in an even effort. KIKIS LOVE OF LIFE broke sharply, but steadied when in tight quarters early while bumping with BLUEGRASS LENT, eased into a tracking trip from off the rail entering the backstretch, but weakened over the final furlong.
