Chart notes
GLENGARRY sped to the lead at the start, cleared and angled in a couple paths, led the way under some pressure from KATAR going by the half mile marker, edged ahead still unleashed entering the turn, took on the rail bid from DIAMOND RIM approaching the quarter pole, remained confidently handled then came under a ride turning for home, dueled into the upper stretch, came under left handed pressure, shook free from DIAMOND RIM approaching the furlong marker and finished going away. DIAMOND RIM was forwardly placed along the inside, advanced along the rail to engage GLENGARRY for the lead approaching the quarter pole, vied into the upper stretch, could not match strides with rival past the furlong marker, ran on and finished clearly second best. KATAR applied pace pressure to GLENGARRY in the opening quarter, could not remain in touch with rival leaving the backstretch, weakened past the mid-way point around the turn and stayed on for a share. DESPERATE MAN raced outside in contention mid-way up the backstretch, chased three wide in range around the turn then came up empty at the head of the lane.
