THORN OF HEARTS stalked the pace from four wide, rallied nearing the quarter pole to engage the pacesetter in upper stretch, wore that one down to take the lead nearing the sixteenth pole and just held the runner-up safe. FACE DOWN reserved off the early pace, made a steady rally circling the field from six wide to be prominently placed turning for home, closed well on the outside through the lane and came up just short on the line. LEONARD'S LEGACY pressed the early pace from four wide, took a short lead at the half mile pole, edged clear on the turn, dug-in turning for home responding to the top pair's challenge and weakened nearing the sixteenth pole surrendering at the same time the rider lost the crop without impact. TIZ SPEEDY trailed to the top of the lane and passed tiring rivals in the lane. RAMMING SPEED tracked the leaders to the turn, rallied between rivals to be with the leaders nearing the quarter pole and flattened out turning for home. EXCLUSIVE ENTRY showed brief speed to lead for nearly the first quarter and gave way on the bend.
