Chart notes
SPARKLING RUBY unhurried in the early going to trail, made steady progress up the fence down the backside, angled four wide to the clear on the turn with a rally, battled the runner-up in the lane and proved best in the final fifty yards. STARSHIP MACYS set the pace under slow early fraction, picked up the pace down the backside widenening the advantage to remain clear turn ing for home, dug-in when challenged by the winner and gave way stubbornly late in the drive. AMUNET reserved off the pace to the far turn, rallied turning for home and finished with good interest to be best of the rest. ISLANDINTHESTREAM stalked the pace to midway on the final turn, made a bid to close the gap nearing the quarter pole and finished evenly unable to sustain the rally. BOURBON BLAST tracked the leaders from the inside to the turn and lacked a closing response. PATH TO VICTORY raced in contention from five wide down the backstretch and faded on the far turn.
