Chart notes
SECESSION sped clear early, set the pace under coaxing around the turn, raced off the rail into the stretch, responded to firm asking past the three sixteenths and drew away. TALLAPOOSA , urged along chasing in the clear, saved ground into the stretch, edged up some past the three sixteenths and kept on with effort to be clear of the rest. ANCIENT MAN , jostled at the break, dropped far back into the turn, gathered momentum near mid stretch, finished up with good energy towards the inner rail and kept on nicely through the gallop out. CHAMPAGNE MIKE , brushed at the break, was urged along saving ground early on and failed to menace. I'M YOUR CAPTAIN , brushed at the start, was not a threat. THE RIDGE bumped soundly with an inner rival leaving the gate, sped up soon after and took up a prompting spot outside the winner, was all in chasing into the stretch, failed to go on nearing mid stretch and tired. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
