Chart notes
SAWYER FOX pulled his way clear soon after the break, secured the inside into the turn and set a rated pace, spurted away while well in hand past the five sixteenths, cruised past the furlong grounds under confident handling, switched leads twice from there but remained dominant to the wire scoring in easy fashion. PONCHO ATTACK exchanged a bump with an inner TAKEITAWAY heading to the turn, chased outside that one around the turn, continued willingly from the head of the lane and was clearly second best. MISSED OPTION saved ground off the pace, eased out leaving mid stretch, bumped with an outer rival when working between runners near the sixteenth pole and kept on with effort to nab the show. VERRAZANOINTHESKY , outside a rival early on, came four wide for the drive, moved up some past mid stretch, exchanged contact with an inner MISSED OPTION with about a sixteenth remaining then flattened out. TAKEITAWAY , bumped early, saved ground chasing the winner and faded through the final furlong. LONE RETURN brushed with an outer rival at the break and was outrun. EL MUCHO , brushed the start, lagged off the pace, came five wide for the drive but failed to get involved. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
