Chart notes
BRING A SMILE saved ground stalking SILENT BEAUTY, angled out to come three-wide into the stretch and was up in the final sixteenth to win going away. SILENT BEAUTY saved ground setting the pace, responded when challenged by ELWOOD ROAD nearing the pole but was unable to resist BRING A SMILE late in the game try. RIVER DANCE was off a step slow then bobbled and brushed with BUMPING RIVER, raced in the ack of the field early, rallied five-wide into the stretch and finished fast. ELWOOD ROAD was prominently placed while racing two-wide, moved up to offer a bold bid nearing the eighth pole but lacked the needed late response. BUMPING RIVER brushed with RIVER DANCE early then was allowed to settle but lacked a rally. DEUX MERES saved ground while being unhurried and failed to menace.
