Chart notes
HONOR THAT DUDE broke well and vied for the early lead on the inside, always travelilng well, edged ahead after passing the half-mile pole, then responded when roused near the quarter pole, quickly opened up in the stretch, had some trouble with the lead change but straightened out mid-stretch and went on to an easy win. STONE ALLIANCE was last away from the gate then made a slow steady run from the five furlong pole to gain the pace while no threat to the winner. HAWAIIAN ARGUMENT raced at the front of the second flight through the early stages, made a sweeping move to get into contention wtih the front pack on the turn, came four wide into the stretch, produced a griding finish and managed to outlast the rest to claim the third prize. APRIORITY AVENGER away well, vied five wide early, broke away with HONOR THAT DUDE through the turn, proved no match for that one in the stretch, kept on well under urging, but weakened late to miss hitting the board. KATS PICK was up with the early leaders, backed off at the five-furlong pole got an inside run through the turn and tried to mount a rally in the stretch but could not find another gear when needed. RAYDEN AND REMI got pinched back early, then had no speed from the break then made a mild advance late on the backstretch run then lacked a response in the late stages. HARPES HILL veered out sharply after the break, then lost the path about a half-furlong from the start, took up and dropped to the back of the field, was far back on the turn but kept to task and passed tired ones in the stretch. RUN ON ACES lacked any early speed and was unable to mount a rally. BABY'S LAST DANCE broke outward at the start and brushed with PERFECT STRIKE at the start, then was in-tight and became rank and hard to place in the initial stages, was taken to the outside before going a furlong, continued to race keenly through the turn while three wide then tired in the stretch. PERFECT STRIKE stumbled coming out of the gate then showed speed to the half-mile marker then steadily faded.
