Chart notes
ALWAYS A DIVA set the pace while racing two-wide, came in slightly to brush with LOTSA SALITA nearing the nine-sixteenths pole then continued to set the pace, opened a clear lead entering the stretch and maintained a safe advantage. NEPHELE was reserved off the early pace, moved up three-wide nearing the quarter pole then was four-wide entering the stretch and closed strongly. LOTSA SALITA prompted the early pace from along the inside, brushed with ALWAYS A DIVA nearing the nine-sixteenths pole then dropped back to track the pace, angled out to be two-wide nearing the three-sixteenths pole and finished well in a steady effort. PEG'S CHOICE prompted ALWAYS A DIVA to near the stretch while two-wide and weakened. DREAM PAYNTER saved ground while racing in the middle of the field and failed to seriously threaten. COCONUT DREAMS was unhurried while racing three-wide and failed to be a factor. ABOVE THE ORDINARY was allowed to settle while racing two-wide and failed to menace. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AND INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING ALWAYS A DIVA AND LOTSA SALITA BUT AFTER VIEWING THE REPLAYS MADE NI CHANCE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
