Chart notes
HORATIO away alertly and stalked the leaders from the back of a compact field entering the backstretch, rallied one out from the rail entering the final turn, and closed determinedly from along the inside in the drive to get up in time. MR MORRIS was off a step slow, but split rivals earl, and chased the pacesetter into the first turn before easing into a tracking trip, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn and collared the pacesetter midway through the turn, took a narrow lead into the stretch and just failed to last. ROCKCLIFFE stalked the leader into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, rallied four wide entering the final turn, and closed steadily three wide in the drive to garner a share. THOMPSON broke sharply and stalked the pace into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, mounted a three wide bid from between rivals entering the final turn, and finished four wide in the drive. VECTOR away well and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, controlled the pace in the run down the backside, was overtaken midway through the final turn and was outfinished late.
