Chart notes
BERTACCHI set the pace under pressure from HOT JOURNEY while two-wide, drifted out slight nearing the eighth pole and prevailed under strong handling. PRECEDENT LUKE saved ground while being reserved off the pace, slipped through during the drive and finished strongly. PISTOL POWER was allowed to settle while racing two-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. ITS FIVE SOMEWHERE raced in the back of the field, came three-wide into the stretch, angled in nearing the eighth pole and rallied late. EL BERRINCHES vied with BERTACCHI from along the inside early and weakened. HOT JOURNEY prompted the pace to the stretch while three-wide and tired. GYPSY GUN was prominently placed while racing three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch and gave way.
