Chart notes
ARABIAN PRINCE rated between horses in mid-division, patiently waited behind a couple of rivals in midturn, shifted to the four path for the stretch drive having traffic issues in front of him, angled out six wide at the three sixteenths pole getting a clear lane to make his run, burst between rivals with a quick turn of foot and switched leads in deep stretch to win in a tight photo for the victory. LUCKY SCORE was unhurried, trailing down the backside, started to reach for more ground at the three furlong marker outside rivals, swung out widest in the seven path making a late charge outside foes, dueled for the lead at the furlong marker, briefly lead in deep stretch but switched back to the incorrect lead battling for the win in the shadow of the wire and lost the nod at the finish line. COVEY (GB) assumed the lead under a moderate pace for these down the backside, opened up through the turn setting a quick second split, was still front but by a diminishing margin midway down the lane on the r ail, could not fend of the top two late who where closing strongly but did finish up to be a clear third at the wire. BERTANI settled on the inside watching the loose pacesetter in the early going, came under a ride trying to hold position on the rail through the turn and finished up willingly on the fence down the lane to settle on the fringes in the end. PERFECT CRIME travelled three deep on the outside in midfield, improved outside rivals going three wide around the oval, moved in smartly to be in the hunt in the six path between rivals in mid-stretch, could not sustain the rally late and wilted in the final sixteenth of amile between runners. TRUE TEMPER tracked the lone speed on the outside in the beginning, chased the leader between horses around the bend, was in the conversation in the three path in mid-stretch but flattened out with rivals on both sides at the furlong marker. WICO (IRE) stalked on the outside near the rear loping along the backside, narrowed the gap but could not improve position through the turn, shifted to the five path for the long stretch run but failed to fire running to the finish line.
