Chart notes
PRINCE OF AYRSHIRE unhurried for the first half mile to be near the rear of the field, patiently narrowed the gap into the turn while saving ground along the fence, angled six wide turning for home and closed well to pull clear late in a well managed ride. CLASSIC KING stalked the pace from three wide through the far turn, rallied in the lane grinding to prominence midway down the lane and was outkicked by the winner in the final sixteenth. TAP THE SKY set a pressured pace the entire way, responded to all challengers in the lane and was out-finished late in the drive while putting forth a game effort. CITY LEADER pressed the pace for five-eighths, challenged for the lead on the far turn, took a brief lead in upper stretch and flattened out late finishing evenly in the final eighth of a mile. VAN trailed to the quarter pole saving ground along the fence, cut the corner turning for home and failed to gain position down the lane. CAMINO DE SANTIAGO raced six wide down the backside in mid-pack, was in contnetion through the final bend while caught wide, was fanned further out turning for home and finsihed evenly lacking a closing kick.
