Chart notes
OMIKAMI unhurried for the first half mile to be at the back of the field, commenced a rally on the turn tipping out to split rivals nearing the quarter pole, angled further wide at the head of the lane and closed well to pull clear inside the sixteenth pole. BEECHNUT TROPHY tracked the leaders from the rail to the far turn, was well placed in striking distance turning for home and rallied up the fence surging late in the drive to be up for the place. RED ELEANOR broke alertly to take command from the gate, set a pressured pace throughout, responded well when called upon to battle in the lane and weakened in deep stretch having done the heavy lifting in a game effort. LADYS CHANT was well placed racing in a clear pocket tracking the leaders down the backside, rallied three wide to threaten at the top of the lane, loomed in mid-stretch and flattened out in the final eighth. GEA raced mid-pack four wide for the trip and showed some mild late interest in the lane without impact. QUEEN DEYMAR was not a threat. VINGATIVA pressed the pace for three-quarters and gave way in the stretch tiring to last.
