Chart notes

HALF BIRTHDAY set the pace under mild pressure down the backside, repelled the bid of the runner-up nearing the quarter pole and kicked clear down the lane unthreatened. LA TOURISTA pressed the pace into the turn, made a two wide bid to engage the pacesetter, failed to get passed and finished well in the lane as second best. DOMINANT STRANGER broke in a tangle nearly losing the rider while leaning in on inside rival, settled at the back when straightened away, made a steady advance around the bend angling five wide turning for home and finished well with a late gain in a good effort. RUNAWAY BREEZE leaned on leaving the gate when outside rival broke awkwardly, saved ground racing mid-pack and showed some late interest in the stretch. DOWN TO EARTH trailed turning for home and passed tiring rivals in the stretch. FLASHY TOO tracked the leaders from betwen rivals to the quarter pole and faded coming home. WILD LOOKER stalked the pace from the inside to be well placed and weakened in the final eighth.
