BACKED BY GOLD allowed to settle off the early pace toward the inside, called on for a bit of run late backstretch, advanced and overtook the leader late in the final turn to be clear into the stretch, kept to pressure to the wire, enough left to last. SMART OKIE void of early foot, also was asked backstretch, lost some ground while rallying three wide and outside the winner turning for home, finished willingly to be getting to that one late. BRITISH EDGE last to leave, quickly advanced under his own courage to take command into the first turn, well clear onto the backstretch, began to weaken midway on the second turn then caved when headed by the winner and runner up exiting that bend. SEXY BROWN chased the early leader from along the inside, began a steady retreat before three furlongs. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
