Chart notes
MESCAT lunged at the start to leave the gate awkwardly in the first strides, settled into stride, rallied five wide to engage the leader in mid-stretch and out-dueled the runner-up to prevail at the wire determinedly. KERKYRA stalked the pace through the turn, tipped out rallying to the lead in upper stretch, dueled with the winner to the wire to just miss in a game effort. THE LITTLE SULTANA tracked the leaders through the turn, lacked a closing response for the drive and ran-on to be along for the show. MESCOOL broke alertly, took command from the gate opened a clear advantage to the quarter pole and weakened in the stretch. TALE OF LADY MARIA failed to menace. SPASTIC BID was not a factor trailing throughout.
