INDYETTA away well and stalked the leaders into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, launched her bid two wide entering the final turn, tipped three wide leaving the turn, and closed steadily three wide in the drive to just miss. JERSEY LILLIE broke sharply and tracked the leader into the first turn while racing one out from the rail, forced the issue two wide from the outside of BAKBURNER in the run down the backside and through the final turn, was unable to match strides with that rival turning for home, and was outfinished late. ROSE OF TEXAS was unprepared at the start and got away poorly, trailed the field throughout, made an eye catching bid through the final turn, but was unable to overcome her troubled beginning. BAKBURNER away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of JERSEY LILLIE in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, shook clear of her pace rival soon after straightening for home, and was all out to fend off a late surge by INDYETTA to prevail. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
