Chart notes

BAK TO LIBERTY away alertly and stalked the leader into the stretch the first time while saving ground at the rail, raced into a tracking trip in the run down the backstretch, launched his bid two wide entering the final turn, swept to the lead leaving the turn, and held DUPLICATION safely at bay late to prove best. PAY MY WAY lagged well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the stretch the first time, began to inch closer in the run down the backstretch, rallied three wide entering the final turn, and closed four out from the rail in the stretch drive to get up for a share in the final strides. DUPLICATION away well and stalked the leader into the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, maintained his position into the backstretch, commended his bid three wide entering the final turn, and closed two wide in the drive to prove clearly second best. BUCK'S FIZZ settled off the leader while saving ground at the rail through the stretch the first time, maintained his position through the second turn and in the run down the backside, continued to save ground through the final turn, but failed to muster a late bid while finishing two wide in the drive. BROKE AN BROKEN lagged towards the back of the pack while racing one out from the rail entering the lane the first time, continued from a trailing position in the run down the backstretch, rallied two wide entering the final turn, and closed three wide in the drive while unable to mount a serious late bid. BUTTONWOOD TREE broke sharply and rushed to a clear lead from along the rail entering the first turn, dictated the pace through the second turn and in the run down the backside, maintained his advantage while beginning to shorten stride entering the final turn, was overhauled leaving the turn, and weakened badly in the late stages. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
