Chart notes
ARCH OF SWORDS broke back, raced unhurried for almost six furlongs, asked for run and began to advance late up the backstretch the second turn, rallied four wide out of the third and final turn, kept coming to be up in time. DOUBLE R CAT vied out of the first turn whiles between foes, dropped to the inside and continued to contest the issue up front the next four furlongs, dueled final turn, shook clear into the lane but could not contain the winner, clearly second best. GOSPEL FOREST forwardly placed and three wide around the first turn, put a head in front entering the stretch the first time, continued to battle up front, fell back off the other two pacesetters after three quarters, came back to save the show while no threat to the top two late. APPEALS LAST RIDE showed the way early inside, fell back after a quarter, moved out, rebid up the backstretch the second time three wide, dueled far turn then faltered in the drive to lose the show. GOSPEL FELLA steadied when in a bit tight at the break, remained back and failed to mount a rally. WHAT ABOUT JIMMY settled behind the first flight for five furlongs, had nothing when the real running began in the far turn. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
