Chart notes
PIRATE RED vied for the lead with A VIEW FROM ABOVE from along the inside, drifted out slightly leaving the quarter pole, responded to pressure and was fully extended to prevail. TOWN PERFORMER was prominently placed while racing three-wide, came four-wide entering the stretch, offered a bid nearing the eighth pole but was unable to get by the winner in a game effort. JOE DON LOONEY was allowed to settle while saving ground, found room entering the stretch and closed strongly. POVERTY BAY was reserved off the pace while racing four-wide, came five-wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. EL ALTO HOMBRE raced in the middle of the field while two-wide and failed to seriously threaten. FANTASTIC DAY was unhurried early, came two-wide into the stretch and failed to be a factor. A VIEW FROM ABOVE vied for the early lead with PIRATE RED from along the outside and tired.
