Chart notes
SENDERO rated well off the pace through the early stages, advanced into contention on the far turn then finished up well under steady handling and intermittent urging, dueled through the late stages with RED ROAD and edged clear in the final yards. RED ROAD hustled to the front and opened up a big lead early with TWOFEXUSNEXUS tracking just behind, quickened away from the three furlong pole, and let the field into the turn, dug in despite a host of challengers in upper stretch, dueled gamely through the last furlong with SENDERO but came up short at the wire. SLICK AND FAST tracked between horses in the tracking group, went on after passing the half-mile pole, went three to four wide through the far turn the finished up well and was gaining but could not get to the top pair late. DEN'S GOOD GRACE raced at the front of the tracking group early, then started to creep closer after passing the half-mile pole, got a rail trip through the turn, was finishing well under strong handling, then took up near the chute and finished evenly. LIL BRO COOP settled inside at the back of the field through the first half-mile, circled the field four wide on the far turn, loomed in upper stretch but flattened out a bit late and was unable to threaten. DADDY'S CODE settled mid-pack to the inside then lacked a late bid. TWOFEXUSNEXUS tracked RED ROAD through the early stages well clear of the rest, came under a ride midway on the turn, was still with a chance mid-stretch, then weakened in the final furlong. YOU'RE ON MUTE unhurried from the start, settled at the rear of the field two wide and trailed throughout. THE JOCKEY OF DEN'S GOOD GRACE CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST SENDERO FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE PAST THE EIGHTH POLE BUT AFTER A STEWARDS REVIEW THE CLAIM OF FOUL WAS DISALLOWED AND NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
