Chart notes
GRAND ACADEMIC tracked inside just behind the dueling leaders, was finishing well in the two path then shifted to the inside in the final furlong, finished up well, and got up in the shadow of the wire. CRAKEN JAX dueled through the early running outside of TRIPPLE D RULER, took command in upper stretch, then finished up well under strong handling and urging and just missed at the wire. CHAD'S FLASHY WAYS tracked between horses behind the pacesetters, finished up willingly, had every chance but was unable to produce a winning kick in the final yards. MOTOR CITY trailed early but not too far off the pace, ran on some late but could not make an impact in the late stages. TRIPPLE D RULLER dueled through the early stages inside of CRAKEN JAX, came under a heavy drive to keep pace near the quarter pole then weakened in upper stretch. FATHER GOOSE tracked three wide into the turn, then tired in the stretch.
