FRASER LANDING broke sharply and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, dictated the pace from the inside of STANFORD NORTH in the run down the backside and through the final turn, was tackled by NU SOUP FOR BABY turning for home, but repelled that bid to prevail in the closing strides. NU SOUP FOR BABY stalked the leaders from along the rail entering the backstretch, launched his bid three wide entering the final turn, and closed determinedly three wide in the drive to just miss. STANFORD NORTH away alertly and tracked the leader two wide entering the backstretch, forced the issue two wide into the final turn, was no match for the top pair late, but finished one out from the rail in the drive to garner a share. BARBERRY BANDIT was fractious prior to the start, reared as the gates opened to get away poorly and trailed throughout. A steward's inquiry into the start, resulted in no action being taken. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
