Chart notes
TIPTON quickly took the lead soon after the start and led the way into the turn, came two wide into the upper stretch, tapped a few times right handed, responded willingly and kept to task. HELLO FRANKIE chased along the inside in opening stages, hustled along two wide around the turn, sustained a three wide bid down the lane and gained place. MISTER J. P. broke on top then quickly conceded position to TIPTON, chased three to four wide late on the turn, ran on two wide past the furlong marker, then took the inside position and cleared show. WITCH WAYDIDHEGO was ridden along leaving the backstretch, angled to the inside entering the turn, cut the corner turning for home, briefly gained closer contention along the rail then flattened out. GOLDEN BIZ was the closest pursuer of the early leader, chased in close range around the turn, ran on past mid-stretch then gave way. MODERN BAND got pinched back shortly after the start and trailed throughout.
