Chart notes
ROMEO vied two wide and between a pair of rivals before forging to the front with a half mile to go, led along the inside as an outer rival applied pressure around the turn, shook free of that one in midstretch and drove clear before flopping back to his left lead in the final sixteenth. COMPORT prompted three deep, sustained pressure two wide and outside of the eventual winner around the turn, but failed to keep pace with that one in midstretch and was second best. PASSWORD tracked four to three wide, chased while failing to maintain striking range in the four path entering the lane, then managed show while no match for the top pair. DUKE OF SUGGINS chased in the two path, shifted out to the five path while between horses in midstretch and moved up. SPICE RUNNER prompted along the inside early on, backed off to stalk passing the half mile pole, chased in the two path around the bend, but lacked a rebid and tired. SAUL ELLIOTT raced off of the pace in the four path, then in the five to six path in upper stretch and failed to factor before being found to have bled. LONGSTRIDER trailed near the inside and got outrun.
