Chart notes
APRIL DE VELP was in mid-division three deep down the back straight, commenced a rally inside with five sixteenths from home, shifted to the outside gathering more momentum at the quarter pole and in the four path grinded away on the leader through the stretch and got up in the final few strides for the victory. ONDINE LADY broke outwards on the start, edged up on the fence to seize command with a half mile to go, continued to move well unopposed through the turn and kept on giving more just off the fence down the lane but could not fend off the winner in the final few strides coming to the wire. CYMBAL COURT was bumped by the inside foe at the start, sat behind the pacesetter on the rail having a tracking role, chased the frontrunner but to no avail through the turn, shifted three wide at the top of the stretch, was no match for the top pair late but did easily best the rest for the show money in the end. IRON PYRITE had a stalking position ahead of only one rival along the backside, could not get into gear by midturn, skimmed the fence making a charge inside in upper stretch but evened out to the wire to settle on the fringes at the finish line. I'M TENACIOUS was unhurried trailing along the backside, began to pick up horses outside three wide a quarter mile from home, shifted just out further four wide for the drive to the wire but could not get into contention with rivals on either side through the stretch running. SEATTLE SIGNAL broke quick but stumbled soon after the start, recouped to have a slim lead four deep into the backstretch, chased the pace while three abreast on the outside with a half mile to run, dropped back abruptly three wide by the quarter pole and had nothing more to give down the lane. SILENT TRIBUTE was jostled between horses on the break, recovered smartly to sit between rivals keeping a close eye on the frontrunner at the half, travelled three wide midway on the turn but could not keep up to the lead pair, lugged out at the quarter pole to be widest in the six path for the drive to the wire but had little to give in deep stretch.
