COURAGEOUS CUPID broke out bumping with LICK SKILLET then vied for the early lead from between GREY DANE and THE MONOPOLY MAN, opened a clear lead nearing the three-eighths pole, responded when challenged by THE MONOPOLY MAN nearing the quarter pole and proved best under strong handling. THE MONOPOLY MAN broke in to bump with CATCHIN DRAMA then vied for the early lead while racing three-wide, dropped back slightly nearing the three-eighths pole, then came back again to challenge COURAGOUS CUPID nearing the quarter pole but was unable to get by that one in a game effort. LICK SKILLET was bumped at the start from both side and pinched back then was unhurried, came two-wide into the stretch and finished fairly well in a good effort. CATCHIN DRAMA was bumped at the start by THE MONOPOLY MAN then came in, was allowed to settle, rallied five-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. HWY TWENTY RIDE was reserved off the pace, moved up four-wide nearing the quarter pole and was not a factor. GRAY DANE prompted the early pace from along the inside and tired.
