Chart notes
GLENGARRY quickly cleared the lead and shifted in a few paths after the start, set the pace two wide up the backstretch and kept clear under confident handling around the turn, took on the challenge of RAYMOND at the head of the lane, given cue, responded gamely, repelled bid, widened advantage and kept to task. SECOND I D tracked the pace along the rail in the opening quarter, came under a ride mid-way around the turn, cut the corner entering the upper stretch, sustained inside bid and finished second best. NAVY SEAL raced in the back in the opening quarter, picked up the tempo along the outside late on the turn, swung five wide into the upper stretch and finished with good response. RAYMOND was forwardly placed while the closest pursuer of the early leader, advanced to challenge GLENGARRY for the lead at the head of the lane, could not get by eventual winner, yielded and ran on evenly. DIAMOND RIM was not far back in the opening quarter, chased three to four wide in the lane and needed more for impact. GENERAL SHIPMAN raced off the pace, saved ground and lacked a needed rally. REDLINE showed response in the opening quarter then steadily weakened.
