Chart notes
JUSTCALLMEJAMES broke sharply and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of JUST SCARLETT in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, got the better of his pace rival leaving the turn, and was never seriously threatened late while drawing clear. EXIT TUNNEL was off a step slow, but raced into a tracking trip one out from the rail entering the first turn, maintained his position in the run down the backside, commenced his bid three wide entering the final turn, angled in midway through the turn to save ground, and closed from just off the rail in the drive to prove second best. MAX BOOSTER away alertly and stalked the leaders into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, commenced his bid three wide entering the final turn, and finished with late interest two wide in the drive. ON MY GOOD SIDE was fractious just prior to the start, and hit the gate with his head leaving there and trailed the field into the first turn while saving ground along the inside, bided his time at the back of the pack in the run down the backside, rallied along the inside entering the final turn, and finished from along the rail in the stretch drive. JUST SCARLETT was away well and dueled for the lead two wide entering the first turn, continued to force the issue from the outside of JUSTCALLMEJAMES in the run down the backside and into the final turn, was unable to keep tabs on her pace rival leaving the turn, and faded in the late stages. The rider of JUST SCARLETT dropped his whip in deep stretch.
